Fried Cabbage with Shrimp, Sausage & Bacon

Directions

  1. Begin by placing a large skillet over medium heat. Add the chopped bacon. Cook it for about 5 to 7 minutes until it is crispy. The aroma will start filling your kitchen, which is always a tremendous sign that delightful things are on the way. Once the bacon is crispy, remove it from the skillet and set it aside, leaving the drippings in the pan.

  2. In the same skillet, add the chopped onions. Sauté them until they become translucent, usually around 3 to 4 minutes. The onions will soak up the bacon drippings and develop a tremendous flavor.
