The first step in this tremendous adventure is to prepare the watermelon. Start by cubing a seedless watermelon into bite-sized pieces. Make sure to remove any seeds and keep the cubes uniform.
-
Once you have your watermelon cubes ready, place them in a single row on a lined baking tray. This allows the pieces to freeze evenly. Then, pop the tray into the freezer and let those juicy cubes freeze for a few hours or, for the best results, overnight.
-
When the watermelon is completely frozen, it’s time to bring them back to life as sorbet. Add the frozen watermelon cubes into a food processor.
-
Next, pour in the coconut milk. This will give your sorbet a creamy consistency that pairs beautifully with the watermelon.
-
If you like, add lime juice for a tangy twist or honey for an extra touch of sweetness at this point. Both options can enhance the flavor tremendously, so choose based on your taste preferences.
-
Blend the mixture on high. Stop occasionally to scrape down the sides of the food processor to ensure everything blends evenly.
-
Continue this blending process for about 5-6 minutes, until you achieve a smooth and creamy consistency.
-
Once ready, you can either indulge immediately or transfer your watermelon sorbet into a freezer-safe container. If you choose to store it, let it thaw slightly before serving for the perfect texture.
