Double Chocolate Greek Yogurt Banana Bread

Directions

  1. Preheat the oven to 350 °F (175 °C). Grease and line a 9×5-inch loaf pan with parchment paper to ensure easy removal after baking.

  2. In a medium bowl, whisk together the flour, cocoa powder, baking soda, baking powder, and salt. This dry mixture will serve as the foundation for our tremendous chocolate bread.

  3. In a large bowl, beat the eggs, granulated sugar, brown sugar, and vanilla extract until smooth and well-combined. Add the Greek yogurt and mashed bananas, folding everything together with care.

  4. Gently fold the dry mix into the wet ingredients until just combined. Over-mixing can make the bread tough, so be gentle. Stir in the chocolate chips, but save some to sprinkle on top for a delightful finish.

  5. Pour the batter into the prepared pan, using a spatula to smooth the top. Sprinkle the reserved chocolate chips over the surface for that added indulgence. Bake for 50–60 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted into the center comes out with a few moist crumbs clinging to it.
