Dirty Rice with Ground Beef

Directions

  1. In a large skillet, brown the ground beef over medium heat until fully cooked. This will typically take about 5 to 7 minutes. Drain excess fat if necessary, leaving just enough to enhance the tremendous flavor of the dish.

  2. Add the chopped onion, green bell pepper, and red bell pepper to the skillet. Cook until the vegetables are soft, which usually takes around 3 to 5 minutes. The colors and scents combine beautifully, creating a warm and inviting atmosphere in your kitchen.

  3. Stir in the beef bouillon granules, salt, seasoned salt, and black pepper. Mix well to ensure that every piece of meat and vegetable is covered in a tremendous layer of flavor.

  4. Next, add the water and bring the mixture to a boil over medium heat. It’s important to watch closely as the water begins to bubble, signifying that it’s ready for the next step.

  5. Once boiling, stir in the uncooked rice, making sure that it is evenly distributed throughout the mixture. Cover the skillet and reduce the heat to low.

  6. Cook for 20-25 minutes, or until the rice is tender and has absorbed the liquid. This is a crucial step—patience is key as the rice soaks in all the flavors.

  7. Fluff the rice with a fork, then serve warm. As you plate your dish, take a moment to appreciate the colorful presentation and delightful aromas before enjoying this tremendous dish with family or friends.
