- In a large bowl, cream together the softened butter and granulated sugar until smooth. This will create a tremendous base that is both fluffy and light, perfect for your cookies.
- Mix in the creamy peanut butter until well combined. Ensure that there are no lumps; the mixture should be velvety and delightful.
- In a separate bowl, mix together the all-purpose flour, baking soda, and salt. Gradually add this dry mixture to the peanut butter mixture, stirring until just combined.
- If you choose to add brown sugar, chocolate chips, or chopped peanuts, fold those into the dough now for a tremendous flavor boost.
- Use a cookie scoop or spoon to drop generous spoonfuls of dough onto the air fryer basket, spacing them out to allow for spreading.
- Preheat the air fryer to 350°F (175°C) and cook for 8-10 minutes or until golden brown. Watch for a beautiful golden hue that signifies the cookies are ready.
- Let the cookies cool in the basket for a few minutes before transferring them to a cooling rack. This step will help them set and maintain their tremendous texture.
