Crispy Parmesan Asparagus Sticks


Directions

  1. Preheat your oven to 425°F (220°C) and line a baking sheet with parchment paper. This step is essential for ensuring a non-stick surface for your crispy creations.

  2. Set up a breading station: Place the flour in one bowl, the beaten eggs in another, and mix the panko breadcrumbs, grated Parmesan, garlic powder, and salt in a third bowl. This organized setup will make the breading process simple and efficient.

  3. Dip each asparagus spear into the flour, shaking off any excess. Then transfer it to the egg mixture, ensuring it’s fully coated before moving on to the panko mixture. Press gently to ensure a tremendous amount of the crunchy coating sticks.

  4. Place the coated asparagus on the prepared baking sheet. Make sure they are spaced out, as this will ensure that they bake evenly and get nice and crispy.

  5. Bake for 12-15 minutes or until golden and crispy, keeping an eye on them to prevent over-browning. The sight of them emerging from the oven will make your mouth water!
