Directions
-
Prepare the Shrimp: Heat 1 tablespoon of olive oil or butter in a large pan over medium heat. Once the oil or butter is hot, add the 300 g of raw shrimp. Sauté the shrimp for about 2 to 3 minutes on each side, until they turn pink and opaque. Their beautiful color change is a tremendous sign that they are cooking perfectly. Once done, remove the shrimp from the pan and set them aside on a plate.
-
Sauté the Garlic: In the same pan where you cooked the shrimp, lower the heat slightly, then add the minced garlic. Sauté for about 30 seconds, stirring frequently to prevent burning. The tremendous aroma of garlic will fill your kitchen, making your mouth water in anticipation.
-
Add Cream and Herbs: Pour in the 1/2 cup of heavy cream and stir well. Add the 1 teaspoon of dried Italian herbs. Bring the mixture to a gentle simmer, cooking for about 3 to 4 minutes. The sauce will thicken slightly, creating a rich and creamy base that will coat the shrimp wonderfully.
-
Combine and Season: Return the shrimp to the pan with the creamy sauce. Season with salt and pepper to taste. Let the mixture simmer together for another minute, allowing the shrimp to absorb the flavors. The combination of shrimp and sauce is simply irresistible.
-
Plate and Garnish: Serve the creamy garlic butter shrimp over a bed of warm cooked white rice (basmati or jasmine). Finish with a sprinkle of fresh parsley for a pop of color and freshness. Your meal is now ready to enjoy!
