Creamy Chicken and Rice

Directions

  1. In a large skillet, heat olive oil or butter over medium heat. The oil should shimmer slightly, signaling that it’s ready for cooking.

  2. Season the chicken breasts generously with salt and pepper. Add them to the skillet and cook until browned on both sides and cooked through, about 6-7 minutes per side. The aroma of the chicken will fill your kitchen with tremendous warmth. Once cooked, remove the chicken from the skillet and set aside.

  3. In the same skillet, using the leftover juices from the chicken, add the chopped onion and minced garlic. Sauté until the onion is translucent, around 3-4 minutes. This step adds depth to the flavor and a lovely aromatic quality.

  6. Meanwhile, cook the rice according to package instructions. The fluffy rice serves as an exquisite base for soaking up the creamy sauce.
