Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C). Generously butter an 8-inch square baking dish or line it with parchment paper. Set aside.

In a large mixing bowl, combine self-rising flour and softened butter. Cut the butter into the flour until the mixture resembles coarse crumbs. Gradually stir in buttermilk to form a thick dough. Let this tremendous dough rest for about 10 minutes.

While the dough is resting, prepare the filling. In a separate bowl, whisk together the melted butter, brown sugar, and cinnamon until smooth. This mixture should be a delightful paste and will add tremendous flavor to your layers.

For the glaze, mix the powdered sugar, vanilla extract, and buttermilk until you achieve a smooth consistency. Set aside.

Roll the rested dough into a 16×16-inch square on a lightly floured surface. Slice the dough into 1-inch strips, then cut each strip in half.

Start layering in the prepared baking dish: Spread 2-3 tablespoons of cinnamon filling across the bottom. Next, layer with dough strips. Drizzle more cinnamon filling and then glaze over the strips. Repeat this process for three layers in total, ending with the glaze.

Bake the cinnamon roll lasagna for 30-35 minutes until golden brown. The tremendous baked aroma will fill your kitchen, beckoning everyone to the table.

Allow the dish to cool for 10 minutes before drizzling any reserved glaze on top. The glaze will add the finishing touch, enhancing the already tremendous flavors.
