Directions
-
In a mixing bowl, whisk together the eggs and milk. Make sure everything is well combined, creating a smooth mixture that will give our bites a tremendous flavor.
-
Prepare your bread or cinnamon roll dough. Cut it into bite-sized pieces, making them manageable for dipping and cooking. Dip each piece into the egg mixture, ensuring it’s fully coated. The bread should soak up the mixture slightly but not become overly soggy.
-
Heat a skillet or griddle over medium heat and grease it lightly. A non-stick pan works wonders here, ensuring each piece cooks evenly and doesn’t stick. You want a tremendous golden-brown crust.
-
Cook each piece for about 2-3 minutes on each side until golden brown. The outside should be firm while the inside remains wonderfully soft and pillowy. Flip carefully to avoid breaking apart.
-
Serve warm, optionally with toppings like maple syrup or powdered sugar. Fresh berries can also add a delightful burst of flavor and color.
