Cinnamon Roll Cheesecake Cookies

Ingredients

The Base

  • 1 cup softened butter
  • 1 cup sugar
  • 1 egg
  • 2 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1 teaspoon baking powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt

The Filling

  • 1/2 cup cream cheese
  • 1 tablespoon cinnamon
  • 1/4 cup brown sugar

Directions

  1. Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C). Preparing your kitchen for baking is the first step to ensuring a tremendous final product.

  2. Cream the butter and sugar together in a large bowl until smooth. The mixture should be light and fluffy, which is crucial for the right texture.

  3. Beat in the egg and vanilla extract. Combining these wet ingredients evenly will ensure that each cookie has a tremendous flavor throughout.

  4. Combine the dry ingredients in a separate bowl by whisking together the flour, baking powder, and salt. Gradually add this dry mixture to the creamed mixture, stirring until just combined.

  5. Prepare the filling by mixing the cream cheese, cinnamon, and brown sugar in another bowl. Make sure this mixture is smooth, as it will be the hidden treasure inside your cookies.

  6. Shape the cookies: Take a tablespoon of cookie dough and flatten it slightly in your hand. Put a small amount of the cream cheese mixture in the center.
