Chocolate Peanut Butter Snowballs

Directions

  1. In a mixing bowl, combine the creamy peanut butter, powdered sugar, and vanilla extract until smooth. Make sure to mix thoroughly to ensure every ingredient is well incorporated. The mixture should have a tremendous, creamy consistency.

  2. Stir in the crushed graham crackers. This addition gives a delightful texture and a bit of crunch to the filling. It creates a unique balance that complements the smooth peanut butter.

  3. Chill the mixture in the fridge for about 30 minutes. This step allows the filling to firm up, making it easier to handle when rolling into balls. The cold temperature helps to enhance the tremendous flavors as they meld together beautifully.

  4. Once chilled, scoop out tablespoon-sized portions and roll them into balls. Make sure to keep your hands damp to prevent sticking; this will aid in rolling smooth, even balls.

  5. Melt the chopped chocolate or chocolate chips in a microwave or double boiler. If using a microwave, do so in short bursts of 30 seconds to avoid burning the chocolate. Stir frequently until smooth.

  6. Dip each peanut butter ball into the melted chocolate, ensuring they are fully coated. Return them to a lined baking sheet. The chocolate coating is not just for appearance; it enhances the treat’s overall texture and taste.

  7. If desired, roll in powdered sugar or shredded coconut for coating. This extra layer adds a snowy finish to your snowballs and a tremendous visual appeal.

  8. Refrigerate until the chocolate is set. This should take about 30 minutes. It’s worth the wait as the chocolate hardens, finally binding the flavor and textures together.

  9. Enjoy your no-bake snowballs! These treats are perfect for sharing, but feel free to indulge in them yourself.
