Chocolate Peanut Butter Pie

Directions

  1. Prepare the Crust: Begin your tremendous journey by combining the finely crushed chocolate cookies with the melted butter in a mixing bowl. Stir until the crumbs are evenly coated. Next, press this mixture firmly into the bottom of a springform pan or pie dish. Make sure it’s well packed to create a sturdy base. Chill in the refrigerator for at least 30 minutes to help it set.

  2. Make the Peanut Butter Layer: While the crust cools, it’s time to whip up the peanut butter filling. In another mixing bowl, beat together the creamy peanut butter, softened cream cheese, and powdered sugar until the mixture is smooth and well combined. Gradually add the milk, mixing continuously until you achieve a creamy consistency. Once ready, spread this luxurious mixture evenly over the chilled crust.

  3. Prepare the Chocolate Ganache: For the cherry on top, prepare a sublime chocolate ganache. Heat the cream in a small saucepan until warm but not boiling. Pour it over the dark chocolate chips in a separate bowl and let it sit for about a minute. This waiting period allows the chocolate to soften. After a minute, stir the mixture until it transforms into a smooth and glossy ganache. Pour it over the peanut butter layer, ensuring it spreads evenly.

  4. Whip the Cream: To elevate your pie, take the heavy cream and combine it with the powdered sugar in a mixing bowl. Whip it until soft to stiff peaks form. You can choose to use this whipped cream either as a topping for individual servings or spread it across the entire pie before serving.

  5. Chill and Serve: Your masterpiece needs time to come together. Refrigerate the pie for at least 4 hours or, for the best results, overnight. This will allow all the flavors to meld beautifully. Once ready, slice into your rich, indulgent treat and serve to your eager guests!
