Chocolate Kahlua Cake with Strawberry

Directions

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease and flour two 9-inch round cake pans. This will help ensure your cake comes out easily without any sticking.

  2. In a large bowl, combine the all-purpose flour, granulated sugar, unsweetened cocoa powder, baking powder, baking soda, and salt. Mix well to create a uniform dry mixture.

  3. Next, add the eggs, milk, vegetable oil, Kahlua, and vanilla extract to the dry ingredients. Beat the mixture until smooth and well combined, ensuring all the components are thoroughly integrated.

  4. Gently fold in the chopped strawberries, allowing them to disperse throughout the batter. This step adds tremendous bursts of flavor in every bite.

  5. Divide the batter evenly between the prepared pans. A kitchen scale may be helpful if you want to be precise, but pouring carefully works too.

  6. Bake for 25-30 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted into the center comes out clean. The aroma while it’s baking will be simply tremendous, filling your kitchen with the sweetest of scents. Allow the cakes to cool in the pans for 10 minutes before transferring them to a wire rack to cool completely.

  7. For the frosting, beat the butter in a mixing bowl until creamy and smooth. Gradually add in the powdered sugar along with the heavy cream and vanilla extract. Continue to beat until the frosting is fluffy and light.

  8. Once the cakes have cooled, it’s time to frost them. Take one layer and spread a generous amount of buttercream on top. You can layer more chopped strawberries if you wish, adding that delightful fresh flavor.

  9. Place the second layer on top and frost the entire cake generously. The smooth, creamy frosting pairs impeccably with the chocolate base and strawberries.

  10. Your Chocolate Kahlua Cake with Strawberry is now ready to be enjoyed. Slice, serve, and relish every moment as you indulge in this sweet creation!
