Directions
-
Begin by preparing the brownie mix according to the package directions. This step is crucial as the brownie serves as the base of our delectable bombs. Once prepared, allow the brownie to cool slightly. You want it to be malleable but not too hot to handle.
-
Take small portions of the brownie and gently flatten them in your palm. Each portion should be about the size of a tablespoon. Remember, the idea is to wrap the cookie dough perfectly inside, so make sure the brownie isn’t overly thick.
-
Now, place a spoonful of cookie dough in the center of each flattened brownie portion. The cookie dough will create a tremendous, chewy core that contrasts beautifully with the fudgy brownie shell.
-
Carefully wrap the brownie around the cookie dough, pinching and rolling it until it forms a perfect ball. This step is where the magic happens, as each bomb contains a delightful surprise within.
-
Repeat the process until all the brownie mixture is exhausted. Donβt worry if some look a bit uneven; it adds to the charm of homemade treats.
-
In a microwave-safe bowl, melt the chocolate chips. Heat them in short intervals, stirring in between to ensure a smooth consistency. Once melted, take care to measure the temperature before dipping the bombs; too hot can cause the brownie to melt away.
-
Dip each brownie bomb into the melted chocolate, coating it thoroughly. Allow the excess chocolate to drip off before placing it on a parchment-lined baking tray.
-
If desired, sprinkle some colorful sprinkles on top of each chocolate-coated bomb before the chocolate hardens. This optional step adds an extra layer of festive fun!
-
Refrigerate the tray until the chocolate firms up, which should take at least 30 minutes. Once firm, your Chocolate Chip Cookie Brownie Bombs are ready to be enjoyed!
