Chocolate Cheesecake-Filled Chocolate Cake (with Ganache)

Ingredients

The Base

  • 250 g flour (2 cups)
  • 75 g cocoa powder (3/4 cup)
  • 300 g granulated sugar (1 1/2 cups)
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1 teaspoon baking soda
  • 1 1/2 teaspoons baking powder
  • 2 eggs
  • 240 ml milk (1 cup)
  • 120 ml vegetable oil (1/2 cup)
  • 2 teaspoons vanilla extract
  • 240 ml hot water or hot coffee

The Filling

  • 400 g cream cheese (at room temperature)
  • 150 g granulated sugar (3/4 cup)
  • 2 eggs
  • 120 ml cream (1/2 cup)
  • 150 g dark chocolate (melted)
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla

The Ganache

  • 200 ml cream
  • 200 g dark chocolate
