Gather all ingredients and chop vegetables into bite-sized pieces. The chopping adds a tremendous element of preparation, making everything easier for cooking.

Cook lo mein noodles according to package instructions until al dente; drain and set aside. Make sure you follow the instructions carefully to achieve that wonderful texture.

Heat a large skillet or wok over medium-high heat. Add a splash of oil and sauté the chicken until golden brown and fully cooked, about 6-8 minutes. The smell will be tremendous!

Remove the cooked chicken from the skillet and set it aside. In the same pan, toss in the bell peppers, carrots, and green onions. Stir-fry these vegetables until they are tender yet crisp, about 3-4 minutes. Keeping them slightly crunchy adds great texture.

Return the cooked chicken to the skillet with the sautéed vegetables. Add the lo mein noodles, soy sauce, sesame oil, minced garlic, and any additional spices you desire. Toss everything together until well-mixed. The tremendous aroma will fill your kitchen!
