Chicken Cordon Bleu Quesadilla

Directions

  1. In a mixing bowl, combine the cooked chicken, ham, mozzarella, and Dijon mustard. Stir thoroughly until blended. Season with salt and pepper to taste, keeping in mind the strong flavors of the ham and cheeses.

  2. Heat a skillet over medium heat. Add a generous pat of butter or a drizzle of oil to ensure a beautiful sear.

  3. Place one tortilla in the skillet. Spread half of the chicken mixture evenly over the tortilla, ensuring that each bite contains a balance of flavors.

  4. Sprinkle a portion of the shredded Swiss cheese over the topping, allowing it to melt into the delightful ingredients below. Cover with another tortilla to create a perfect quesadilla.

  5. Cook the quesadilla until the bottom turns a golden brown, typically about 3-4 minutes. Flip the quesadilla carefully to avoid spills. Brown the other side and continue cooking until the cheese is tremendously melted and gooey.

  6. Remove the quesadilla from the skillet once both sides are golden, and the cheese has reached the ideal melted state. Allow it to rest for a minute, then cut it into wedges. Serve warm and enjoy the tremendous flavors bursting forth.
