Chicken and Potato Bake

Directions

  1. Preheat the oven to 375°F (190°C). This step is crucial as it prepares the oven to cook your dish to perfection.

  2. In a large baking dish, begin by combining the cubed chicken and diced potatoes. The chicken should be cut into bite-sized pieces for even cooking, and the potatoes should be diced uniformly to ensure they bake well.

  3. Next, add the drained green beans on top of the chicken and potatoes. This addition not only brings vibrant color to the dish, but it also adds a tremendous flavor boost that complements the other ingredients.

  4. Sprinkle the dry Italian dressing mix evenly over the entire mixture. This seasoning is key—it infuses the dish with tremendous taste that elevates the simple ingredients into something extraordinary.

  5. Drizzle the melted butter evenly over everything in the baking dish. This step ensures that the chicken and potatoes keep moist while cooking, enhancing the overall texture of your meal.

  6. Once everything is combined, cover the dish tightly with aluminum foil. This helps to create a steaming effect in the oven, which contributes to the tenderness of the chicken and the creaminess of the potatoes.

  7. Bake in the preheated oven for approximately 45-60 minutes. During this time, check for doneness: the chicken should be fully cooked, and the potatoes must be tender when pierced with a fork.

  8. About 10-15 minutes before the end of the baking time, remove the foil. Allowing the top to brown slightly gives the dish a delightful finish, making it as visually appealing as it is delicious.
