Cheesy Taco Sticks

Directions

  1. Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C). This step is crucial as it prepares your kitchen for the tremendous aroma that will soon fill the air.

  2. In a large skillet over medium heat, cook the ground beef until it’s nicely browned. Use a wooden spoon to break it apart while it cooks for even browning.

  3. Add the finely diced onion and minced garlic to the skillet. Cook until the onion is softened, about 3-4 minutes. This combination will elevate the flavor profile tremendously.

  4. Stir in the taco seasoning according to the package instructions, mixing well to coat the beef and onions. Allow it to simmer for a few minutes for the flavors to meld.

  5. Roll out the crescent roll dough on a clean surface and separate it into triangles.

  6. On each triangle, place a spoonful of the beef mixture; then sprinkle generously with cheese. The combination of textures here will be tremendous, offering a delightful treat for your taste buds.

  7. Roll the dough up around the filling, starting from the wider end of the triangle and moving to the pointed tip. Make sure to seal each roll tightly.

  8. Arrange the rolled Cheesy Taco Sticks on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper. Bake them according to the dough package instructions, typically around 12-15 minutes or until golden brown.

  9. Once baked, serve warm alongside bowls of sour cream and salsa for dipping. The luscious mouthfeel of the dips complements the crunchy sticks perfectly.
