Cheese Stuffed Meatballs

Directions

  1. Preheat the oven to 400°F (200°C). This ensures a tremendous cooking environment where the meatballs can develop a rich flavor.

  2. In a large bowl, combine the ground beef, Italian sausage, breadcrumbs, Parmesan cheese, egg, garlic, Italian seasoning, salt, and pepper. Mix everything until it’s well combined. This step creates the base of your meatballs, infusing them with flavors.

  3. Take a small amount of the meat mixture and flatten it in your hand. Place a cube of mozzarella in the center and mold the meat around it to form a ball. Repeat this process until all the mixture is used. It’s quite a tremendous feeling to see those cheese-filled wonders take shape.

  4. Place the meatballs on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper. Make sure they are spaced apart so they can cook evenly.

  5. Bake in the preheated oven for 20-25 minutes or until they are cooked through. You’ll want them golden on the outside and fully cooked on the inside.

  6. Meanwhile, heat the marinara sauce in a saucepan over medium heat. You are creating a warm, rich bath for your meatballs to nestle in.

  7. Serve the meatballs over a bed of warm marinara sauce, allowing the sauce to soak into the meatballs for that tremendous burst of flavor!
