For the caramel filling, take another saucepan and combine 1 3⁄4 cups of soft caramels, 1 1⁄4 cup of sweetened condensed milk, and 2⁄3 cup of butter. Cook over low heat, stirring consistently until all ingredients are melted and the mixture is smooth. This decadent filling adds a tremendous depth of flavor.

Carefully pour the caramel layer over the Rice Krispie base. Use a spatula to spread it evenly across the surface, ensuring every corner is covered with that luscious caramel goodness.
