Caramel Chocolate Coffee Cheesecake

Directions

  1. Preheat the oven to 325°F (163°C) and grease a 9-inch springform pan well. This will help ensure that the cheesecake releases cleanly after baking. A tremendous cheesecake deserves a flawless presentation!

  2. Prepare the crust by mixing chocolate cookie crumbs with melted butter in a medium bowl. Stir until well-combined, and then press this mixture firmly into the bottom of the prepared springform pan. A firm crust provides the foundational crunch essential for balancing the creamy filling.

  3. Make the filling. In a large bowl, beat the softened cream cheese and granulated sugar together until smooth and creamy. This step is crucial for achieving the perfect texture. Once combined, add the sour cream, eggs, brewed coffee, and vanilla extract. Mix everything until fully incorporated and you have a tremendous filling that is both creamy and rich.

  4. Assemble the cheesecake by pouring the cream cheese mixture over the crust. Use a spatula to spread it evenly, promoting a beautifully level top that makes for a stunning presentation once served.

  5. Bake in the preheated oven for about 60 minutes. The cheesecake should be mostly set in the center while still slightly jiggly; it will firm up as it cools. After baking, turn off the oven and leave the cheesecake inside for another hour. This gradual cooling method minimizes cracking, delivering a tremendous finished dessert.

  6. Cool completely after removing the cheesecake from the oven. Allow it to sit at room temperature for about an hour before transferring it to the refrigerator. Chilling it for several hours or overnight is recommended for the best flavor and texture.

  7. Garnish just before serving by drizzling the top with caramel sauce and sprinkling with chocolate chips. This final touch adds not only visual appeal but also a flavor punch that is unforgettable.
