Butterscotch Lush

Directions

  1. Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C). The warm environment will help perfectly bake your crust.

  2. In a medium-sized bowl, combine graham cracker crumbs, melted butter, and granulated sugar. This mixture will form the base, providing a tremendous contrast to the creamy layers above.

  3. Press the mixture firmly into the bottom of a 9×9-inch baking dish. To create an even layer, use the back of a measuring cup or a flat object.

  4. In another bowl, beat together the softened cream cheese and powdered sugar until smooth. This tremendous filling will add depth of flavor, making the dessert simply irresistible.

  5. Spread this creamy mixture over the graham cracker crust, ensuring it reaches all corners for an even distribution.

  6. In another bowl, whisk together the butterscotch pudding mix and milk. Stir until the mixture thickens, creating a luscious layer full of flavor.

  7. Pour the butterscotch pudding over the cream cheese layer, smoothing it out gently. This is where the magic happens, as layers combine to create heavenly bites.

  8. Top with whipped topping, spreading it evenly across the surface. You can also sprinkle crushed butterscotch candies on top for a bit of added crunch and sweetness.

  9. Chill in the refrigerator for a few hours before serving, allowing the layers to set beautifully. The longer it chills, the more the flavors meld together, creating a tremendously satisfying dessert.
