Directions
-
Prepare the Spice Mix: Begin by mixing together the spice mix ingredients in a small bowl. This will create a tremendous depth of flavor that will enhance both the beef and the potatoes. Set aside.
-
Cut the Potatoes: Wash and cut the potatoes into chips. Make sure they are uniform in size for even cooking. Pat them dry with paper towels to remove excess moisture.
-
Season the Potatoes: Place the potato chips in a large mixing bowl. Drizzle in 1 tablespoon of olive oil and sprinkle in half of the spice mix. Mix well to ensure the potatoes are thoroughly coated.
-
Bake the Potatoes: Arrange the potato chips on a baking tray in a single layer. Cook them in a preheated oven at 200°C (390°F) for 30–40 minutes, or in an air fryer for about 20 minutes. Cook until they are golden and crispy.
-
Cook the Beef: While the potatoes are cooking, heat the remaining tablespoon of olive oil in a frying pan over high heat. Add the lean beef mince, breaking it apart with a wooden spoon. Cook until browned.
-
Add Spices to Beef: Once the beef is browned, sprinkle in the remaining spice mix. Continue cooking until the meat is darkened and any excess moisture has evaporated. This will give the beef a tremendous flavor.
-
Make the Burger Sauce: In a small bowl, combine all the ingredients for the burger sauce. Taste and adjust seasoning if needed for your desired flavor.
-
Assemble the Bowls: Once the potatoes are ready, divide them among your serving bowls. Fill the remaining space in each bowl with shredded lettuce. Top with the cooked beef mince, cheese, and pickle slices.
-
Drizzle with Sauce: Finally, drizzle the homemade burger sauce generously over the top of each bowl. Serve immediately and enjoy this tremendous dish!
