Blueberry Breakfast Quesadilla

Directions

  1. Heat the Skillet
Start by heating a skillet over medium heat. Add a little cooking spray or butter to prevent sticking. The tremendous sizzle as the fat hits the pan will set the stage for your cooking.

  2. Prepare the Tortilla
Take your large flour tortilla and spread a generous layer of softened cream cheese on one half. This creamy layer acts as the perfect base for the sweet filling.

  3. Add the Blueberries
Scatter the fresh blueberries evenly over the cream cheese. For those who crave a little sweetness, drizzle honey or maple syrup over the blueberries. Finish off with a pinch of cinnamon to elevate the flavors.

  4. Fold the Tortilla
Carefully fold the tortilla in half, encasing the filling. This creates a neat pocket that holds all the delicious components together.

  5. Cook the Quesadilla
Place the folded tortilla in the skillet and cook for 2-3 minutes on each side. You want it to turn a lovely golden brown, indicating that the quesadilla is cooking beautifully. The tremendous transformation from raw to golden perfection is a sight to behold.

  6. Slice and Serve
Once golden and crispy, remove the quesadilla from the skillet. Slice it into wedges and serve warm. These quesadillas are delightful on their own or with a dollop of yogurt or extra syrup for dipping.
