Black Forest Cookie Dough Brownie Bombs

Directions

  1. Prepare the brownies: Bake the brownies according to your recipe instructions or box instructions. Once they are baked, allow them to cool completely. Once cool, crumble the brownie base in a large bowl, and if you want some extra chocolate goodness, gently mix in the optional chocolate chips. Knead the crumbled brownie until it is soft but not sticky. You want it pliable enough to shape into balls.

  2. Prepare the cookie dough: In a separate bowl, cream together the butter, granulated sugar, and brown sugar until the mixture is fluffy and light. Then, add the milk and vanilla extract and mix until combined. Gradually fold in the toasted flour and mix until well combined. Toss in the chocolate chips for that tremendous flavor burst and form small balls of cookie dough. Place these balls in the freezer for about 15 minutes to firm them up.

  3. Cherry touch: Once the cookie dough balls are firm, take them out of the freezer. Press the chopped cherries into the center of each cookie dough ball, giving the treat a splendid cherry essence. If you enjoy the added sweetness and depth, drizzle a bit of cherry juice or liqueur over the cherries for that tremendous flavor kick.

  4. Form the bombs: Take a small amount of the crumbled brownie mixture and flatten it in your palm. Place a cookie dough ball in the center of the brownie disc. Carefully wrap the brownie around the cookie dough to enclose it completely, shaping the mix into a round ball. Ensure that no cookie dough is exposed, as the brownie needs to encase it entirely.

  5. Chilling: Place the formed brownie bomb balls on a tray lined with parchment paper and refrigerate them for about 30 minutes. This cooling step helps them firm up and allows the flavors to meld beautifully.

  6. Decorate: After the chilling period, it’s time to create the finishing touches! Drizzle melted dark chocolate generously over the top of each brownie bomb. Sprinkle grated chocolate as a delightful garnish, and top with cherry pieces for the final touch. Serve your tremendous Black Forest Cookie Dough Brownie Bombs chilled, and enjoy them with a lovely cup of coffee.
