Berry Cream Cheese Stuffed Crescent Rolls

Directions

  1. Preheat the oven to 375°F (190°C). This ensures that your crescent rolls will bake evenly and turn golden brown, providing a tremendous crunch as you bite into them.

  2. In a mixing bowl, combine the softened cream cheese, sugar, and vanilla extract until smooth. The goal is to create a rich, creamy mixture that will hold its form when you stuff it into the rolls.

  3. Unroll the crescent roll dough and separate it into triangles. Make sure to lay them out on a clean surface to prepare for the wonderful filling.

  4. Spoon a small amount of the cream cheese mixture onto the wide end of each triangle, and top with a few berries. Don’t be shy with the filling; it’s the heart of these rolls and creates tremendous flavor!

  5. Roll the dough from the wide end to the tip, enclosing the filling entirely. Ensure that the edges are pinched together to avoid any cream cheese spilling during baking.

  6. Place the rolls on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper. This will help ensure that they do not stick to the pan and can be transferred easily.

  7. If desired, brush the tops with beaten egg for a golden finish. Brushing on egg wash gives the rolls a beautiful shine and additional color.

  8. Bake for 12-15 minutes or until golden brown. Keep an eye on them towards the end; they should puff up nicely and smell tremendous as they bake.

  9. Allow to cool slightly, then dust with powdered sugar before serving. This final touch adds a beautiful presentation and a hint of sweetness that perfects the dish. Enjoy these rolls for breakfast, as a lovely brunch item, or even as a delightful dessert!
