Directions
-
Begin by heating the vegetable oil in a large pan over medium heat. Ensure the oil is hot enough to sizzle when you add the beef, creating a tremendous sear.
-
Once the oil is ready, add the beef pieces to the pan. Brown them on all sides, allowing them to caramelize slightly. This process adds depth of flavor that is crucial.
-
After the beef is browned, stir in the diced onions and sliced mushrooms. Cook them until softened, which will take around 5-7 minutes. The tremendous aroma will begin to permeate your kitchen.
-
Next, add the minced garlic, dried thyme, and oregano to the mixture. Stir well, letting the herbs release their flavors in the pan.
-
Pour in the rich and flavorful beef gravy over the beef and vegetables. Stir to combine, then reduce the heat to low, letting it simmer gently for at least 15-20 minutes. This allows all the flavors to meld beautifully.
-
While the beef mixture simmers, bring a large pot of salted water to a boil. Cook the egg noodles according to package instructions until al dente.
-
Once the noodles are ready, drain them and return them to the pot. You may toss them with a tiny bit of oil to prevent sticking.
-
To serve, lay a generous helping of the beef mixture over a bed of egg noodles. Feel free to garnish with fresh parsley for an additional touch of color.
