Banana Split Cake

Directions

  1. In a medium bowl, mix the graham cracker crumbs and melted butter until well combined. The mixture should resemble wet sand. Press this mixture firmly into the bottom of a 9×13 inch pan to form the crust. Make sure it’s even and compact for the best texture.

  2. In a large bowl, beat together the softened cream cheese and powdered sugar until the mixture is smooth and creamy. This will form the tremendous filling that adds richness to the cake. Gently fold in the whipped topping until fully incorporated, creating a fluffy consistency.

  3. Take the cream cheese mixture and spread it evenly over the prepared graham cracker crust, ensuring every bite will be filled with creamy goodness.

  4. Next, layer the sliced bananas over the cream cheese mixture. Follow these with a generous layer of crushed pineapple. The combination of flavors and textures will be absolutely delightful.

  5. Drizzle a generous amount of chocolate syrup over the pineapple layer. This will add a sweet and decadent touch that brings all the flavors together. Sprinkle the chopped nuts on top for an added crunch that contrasts beautifully with the creaminess below.

  6. Chill the cake in the refrigerator for at least 2 hours. This step is crucial as it helps all the flavors meld and the filling sets. You will be rewarded with a tremendous dessert once it’s ready to serve.

  7. Before serving, top with maraschino cherries for a festive finish. Enjoy this cake chilled, and let the flavors transport you to sweet, sunny memories.
