Banana Pudding Cheesecake

Directions

  1. Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C). Start by getting your oven ready so that it’s at the perfect temperature for baking your crust.

  2. Prepare the crust. In a medium bowl, combine the vanilla wafer crumbs with the melted butter. Stir until the crumbs are fully coated. This mixture is going to create a tremendous base for your cheesecake.

  3. Form the crust. Press the mixture firmly into the bottom of a greased 9-inch springform pan. Try to make it even to ensure a perfect layer when you serve the cheesecake.

  4. Make the filling. In a large bowl, beat the softened cream cheese and powdered sugar together until smooth. This step is crucial, as you want a creamy and luscious filling without lumps.

  5. Incorporate bananas and vanilla. Add the mashed bananas and vanilla extract to the cream cheese mixture, mixing until everything is well combined. The bananas will provide a wonderful fruitiness that pairs delightfully with the cheese.

  6. Add the whipped cream. Gently fold in the whipped cream into the mixture. This step will lighten the filling, making it airy and more delightful.

  7. Combine layers. Pour the cream cheese mixture over the crust in the springform pan. Spread it out evenly with a spatula for that perfect finish.

  8. Set the cheesecake. Refrigerate for at least 4 hours or until set. This chilling time allows the cheesecake to firm up, ensuring a tremendous texture when served.

  9. Garnish and serve. Before serving, add banana slices on top and sprinkle some additional vanilla wafers as a lovely finishing touch.
