Banana Cake

Directions

  1. Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease and flour a cake pan to ensure an easy release after baking.

  2. In a large mixing bowl, cream together the butter and sugar until the mixture is light and fluffy. This step is crucial for achieving that tremendous cake texture.

  5. Gradually add the dry ingredients to the banana mixture, alternating with the buttermilk. Mix until just combined, being careful not to overwork the batter.

  6. Pour the batter into the prepared pan and smooth out the top with a spatula to ensure even baking.

  7. Bake for 30-35 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted into the center comes out clean. Keep an eye on it during the last few minutes for the perfect golden finish.

  8. Once done, let the cake cool in the pan before transferring it to a wire rack. This step helps maintain moisture and keeps the cake tender until slicing and serving.
